Greek Yogurt Green Smoothie

This Greek yogurt green smoothie is a great way to eat your veggies combined with a great portion of protein.  I really like it because you can hardly taste the vegetables. This makes this Greek yogurt green smoothie is ideal for your kids!

I can’t stop talking about how healthy this Greek yogurt green smoothie is. Spinach provides protein, iron, vitamins and minerals which make it important for skin, hair and bone health. Carrots, on the other hand, are rich in vitamin A. Plus, they slow down aging as the high level of beta-carotene they contain acts as an antioxidant to cell damage. This help slows down the aging of cells. Apples contain a soluble fiber that binds with fats in the intestine. This means lower cholesterol levels. Pineapples are full of vitamin C and manganese. Vitamin C helps fight skin damage caused by the environment (sun and pollution), reduces wrinkles, improves skin texture and helps in collagen formation. Bananas are a great energy source before gym workout. They also protect us against muscle cramps during workouts. These are just some of the health benefits of these “superfood” ingredients. If you combine all these with Greek yogurt and you get one of the healthiest smoothies you could ever drink.

Greek Yogurt Green Smoothie – Ingredients

    • 1 cup of fresh baby spinach, chopped
    • 1 cup of carrot, chopped
    • 1 apple, cored, peeled and chopped
    • 1 cup of pineapple, (fresh, canned, or frozen)
    • 1 ripe banana
    • 1⁄2 cup of low or zero fat milk
    • 1 cup of zero fat Greek yogurt
    • 1 teaspoon of stevia or honey

Greek Yogurt Green Smoothie – Instructions

  1. Place all the ingredients in the blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Add some ice.
  4. Serve immediately.
