Pantzarosalata: A Traditional Greek Beetroot Salad

 Pantzarosalata is the name of the traditional Greek beetroot salad.  This is one of the healthiest dishes around as beetroots are a great source of fiber, folate, manganese, potassium, iron, and vitamin C. As a result, beetroots have been linked with several health benefits, such as improved blood flow and lower blood pressure.

Pantzarosalata requires only four ingredients: beetroots, Greek olive oil, salt, and vinegar. Easy to follow, this is ideal not only for vegetarians but also for vegans.

  • 1 kg of beetroots
  • Olive oil

  • Parsley, cut (optional)

Pantzarosalata – How to Make

  1. Start this traditional Greek beetroot salad recipe by cutting the green part of the beets and washing them well with fresh water. 
  2. Take a pot and boil the beetroots for 1/2 hour. 
  3. Remove outer skins from the beetroots and slice them into thin pieces. 
  4. Take a bowl and add the cut beetroots. Add the parsley.
  5. Top with oil, salt, and vinegar. Mix well.
  6. Serve
