Now that weather is getting colder, I can’t think of a better time to bake a pasta flora. Pasta flora is a jam tart, decorated with strips from the dough, that you can make in any size you want, from small to large! To make this pasta flora recipe you need the following ingredients: butter, eggs, sugar, baking powder, vanilla extract, flour, and cherry jam. Actually, you can any kind of flavor you of jam you like. Before you start making the pasta flora you need to make the dough. You can find how to make the dough for the pasta flora at the instructions below.

This pasta flora recipe reminds me so much of my childhood. When my family moved back to Greece from the United States, we lived for a couple of years in Athens before finally moving to Sparta. In Athens, we had a great neighbor, Miss Anna (God bless her soul wherever she is) who was popular for her pasta flora and every time we visited her there was a big piece of this mouthwatering Greek jam tart waiting for me.

This pasta flora recipe takes around 50 minutes to prepare and 30 minutes to cook. I suggest you use a 28 cm diameter baking pan.
