Eating pork on Christmas Eve dinner is one of my favorite Greek Christmas traditions. This mouthwatering dish is just ideal for the case you would like to eat something different than turkey. So, if you want to surprise your friends and family these holidays, this Greek pork chops recipe with orange is for you!

This Greek pork chops recipe easy as it takes around 50 minutes to prepare and 40 minutes to cook.  You can serve with pilaf, mashed or fried potatoes. In case you would like to drink wine over dinner, prefer a white one.

This delicious and hearty dish is ideal for your any time of the year! I really like it because it is a great and easy meal to make especially if you have a last minute visit from your family and friends. This Greek pork chops recipe is for 4 persons.

Greek Pork Chops

Greek Pork Chops with Orange – Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 7 tablespoons of Greek olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 100 ml of white wine
  • Orange juice (2 oranges)
  • Zest and juice of one lemon
  • 8 orange slices
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Dried Oregano

Greek Pork Chops with Orange – Instructions

  1. Start this Greek pork chops recipe by adding salt and pepper on both sides of pork chops.
  2. Take a nonstick pan. Add the olive oil.
  3. Bring to boil. Add the pork chops. Brown them on one side and then on the other.
  4. Add garlic cloves. Saute them for one minute.
  5. Place on each chop two orange slices. Sprinkle them with oregano.
  6. Pour the wine. Then pour the orange juice, lemon juice, and the lemon zest.
  7. Cover the pan. Lower oven temperature.
  8. Taste to see if more salt is needed. Add salt to taste.
  9. Allow pork chops to simmer for 25 minutes. Add some warm water if needed.
  10. Serve pork chops right away.
