  • 4 pork chops
  • 3 medium onions
  • 3 large carrots
  • 4 medium potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
  • ½ cup of white wine
  • Some flour
  • 1 celery root
  • 4 tablespoons of Greek olive oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Brizoles Hirines – Instructions

  1. Start this brizoles hirines recipe by preheating oven to 475 °F.
  2. Take the pork chops and slightly pound them in order to be flattened.
  3. Remove the fat from pork chops and wash them well.
  4. Season them some salt and pepper.
  5. After pork chops are drained well, season them some flour and lightly fry them.
  6. Peel onions. cut them into thin round slices and wash them well.
  7. Peel carrots, wash them and cut them into round slices.
  8. Peel potatoes and cut them into small pieces.
  9. Cut celery.
  10. Mix all vegetables in a bowl. Add some salt and pepper.
  11. Dissolve tomato paste in 2 cups of water.
  12. Put half of the vegetables in the cooking pan.
  13. Pour half of the tomato sauce and place the pork chops on them.
  14. Put the remaining vegetables on top of the pork chops.
  15. Pour the rest and tomato sauce. Add the Greek olive oil.
  16. Roast, turning the pork chops once until the vegetables are tender and the pork chops are just cooked through about 25 to 35 minutes. Have some warm water to add in case your food is dry out.
  17. Put in oven and when it is almost cooked, pour the white wine all over it.
  18. Leave in oven for another 15 minutes.
  19. Serve.
